此《玉器的调查与研究》（The Bishop Collection: Investigations and Studies in Jade）由G.F. Kunz等编著。其内容为著录美国收藏家H.R.Bishop的精美中国玉器藏品，其中包含大量版画插图及玉器方面的研究文章。此书出版于1906年，限量一百套，开本巨大。

整套书共两册，用皮革装订，包含 93 个印版，其中包括李澄渊的《[玉作图](https://www.shuge.org/view/yu_zuo_tu/)》、36 幅石版画、31 幅铜版画、17 幅木刻和 28 篇关于玉器方面的研究文章。这也是最早的有关中国古玉的西文著作。

Heber Reginald Bishop（希伯·雷金纳德·毕肖普，1840 年 - 1902 年）是 19 世纪末 20 世纪初美国著名的商人和慈善家。他是一名狂热的古董收藏家，尤其是玉器收藏。1878 年，Bishop从 Tiffany & Co.（蒂芙尼公司）购买了赫尔德玉瓶 — 中国流失的最精美的玉器之一，自此开始收藏玉器。后来，Bishop将其玉器藏品捐给了纽约大都会艺术博物馆，至今仍收藏于该馆。
