此套《莫理循的中国档案集》由澳大利亚旅行家George Ernest Morrison拍摄或收集。此次整理了共千余幅，包含照片、明信片、绘画等等。其内容记录了清末民初中国的社会状况以及许多重大事件和重要人物肖像。此系列现藏于澳大利亚新南威尔士州立图书馆。

莫理循是中国近代史上一位重要的人物，也是澳中文化交流史上的一个重要人物。他在中国生活的时代，正是中国历史上的大动荡，大变化，改朝换代的重要时刻。他记录了那个时期中国社会的很多重大事件，是中国清末民初动荡社会的亲历者甚至是参与者。他亲自拍摄和收集的数千张照片反映了当时中国社会许多重大事件，包括戊戌变法、义和团运动、袁世凯称帝等，具有极高的历史价值。1920年莫理循在去世前写给妻子的最后一封信中说，他所收集的资料诸物，应捐给[新南威尔士州图书馆](https://collection.sl.nsw.gov.au/)。

[莫理循](https://baike.baidu.com/item/%E4%B9%94%E6%B2%BB%C2%B7%E6%B2%83%E5%B0%BC%E6%96%AF%E7%89%B9%C2%B7%E8%8E%AB%E7%90%86%E5%BE%AA/7358399)（George Ernest Morrison，乔治·厄内斯特·莫理循），澳大利亚出生（1862年2月4日－1920年5月30日）的苏格兰人，1887年毕业于爱丁堡大学医科，获医学博士学位。曾任《泰晤士报》驻华首席记者（1897-1912），中华民国总统政治顾问（1912-1920）。他是一位与近代中国关系密切的旅行家及政治家。著有《[一个澳大利亚人在中国](https://www.shuge.org/ebook/an-australian-in-china/)》一书。
