此套《伯希和中亚考察团摄影集》由法国探险家Paul Pelliot（伯希和）及其同事拍摄。此次整理了共1439幅，记录其中亚探险之旅。主要是新疆的喀什地区和库车图木舒克的脱库孜萨来以及甘肃的敦煌石窟，进行了广泛的考察。拍摄时间大致为1906至1909年。此套现藏于法国吉美博物馆。

伯希和等人于1906年受法国金石和古文字科学院及亚细亚学会之托，率考察团前往中亚探险。1908年春，在敦煌低价选购了密窟文书中的大量精品。随后他取道兰州、西安、郑州，于1908年10月5日抵达北京。在此将大部分获得品送往巴黎，然后南下上海、无锡，12月中旬返回河内。次年5月，伯希和再度来华为巴黎国家图书馆购书，经上海、南京、天津，八月中旬抵达北京。此举使之声名大噪，对于奠定其在国际汉学界的地位起到重要作用。

保罗·伯希和（Paul Pelliot，1878年5月28日-1945年10月26日），世界著名的法国汉学家、探险家。就学于巴黎大学，主修英语，后入法国汉学中心学习汉语，继入国立东方语言学校，专攻东方各国语文历史。曾从师法国汉学家E.E沙畹(1865-1918)等人学习，志力于中国学研究。1908年往中国敦煌石窟探险，低价购买了大批敦煌文物，带回法国。
